SETUP
INSTRUCTIONS
To setup your voice mail box, have a
greeting and a four digit pass code ready. The setup can be
done two ways. You can either call from a landline phone or
from your cellular phone. We recommend calling from a local
landline to our Check-In Service because the setup does take
a few minutes to complete. This is a free call from a local
landline phone.
FROM A LANDLINE
Dial the Voice Mail Check-In Service at 763-2000
(San Angelo area) or 456-2000 (Brady / Menard area) or
372-1000 (San Saba area) or 347-2000 (Mason area). You will
be asked to input your voice mailbox number (your cellular
number with the area code). When you hear the computer
voice begin, press the “*” key. You will now be in the
setup menu. The system will guide you through setting up
your pass code, personal greeting, and name. When finished
setting up your personal greeting press the # key and
continue the setup. Once completed, you may exit the system
by hanging up.
FROM YOUR CELLULAR PHONE
Dial your cellular phone number from your cellular phone.
When you hear the computer voice begin, press the “*” key.
You will now be in the setup menu. The system will guide you
through setting up your pass code, personal greeting, and
name. When finished setting up personal greeting press the
# key and continue the setup. Once you have completed the
setup, you may exit the system by disconnecting the call.
TO TEMPORARILY DEACTIVATE
Press *710 (send) from your cellular phone. Then to
reactivate, press *71 (send).
RETRIEVING MESSAGES
There are three ways to check your mailbox and
retrieve your messages
FROM A LANDLINE
Dial the Voice Mail Check-In Service at 763-2000
(San Angelo area) or 456-2000 (Brady / Menard area) or
372-1000 (San Saba area) or 347-2000 (Mason area). You will
be asked to input your voice mailbox number (your cellular
number with the area code). When you hear the computer
voice begin, press the “*” key. You will then be asked to
enter your pass code.
FROM YOUR CELLULAR PHONE
Simply dial your voice mail box number (your cellular
number) from your cellular phone. Once you begin to hear
your greeting, press “*” immediately. By pushing the “*”
key, you are telling the system that you are the user and
you need the menu. The system will ask you to input your
pass code and check your messages.
Dial the Voice Mail Check In Service from your cellular
phone. This accesses the Universal Check In System. The
system will recognize your cellular number and ask you to
enter your pass code. You will then be given the status of
your mailbox.
PLEASE
NOTE WHEN ROAMING
To access your voice mailbox you will need to dial the Check In
Service Line to check your messages in most roaming
markets. You can call the Check In Service Line from either
a landline telephone or your cellular phone. If you are
roaming and use your cellular phone to check your messages,
you will incur any applicable roaming and toll fees.
